translation of fluid water

This is an assignment of design foundation of Landscape architecture of Rhode Island School of Design,

Students are required to finish numbers of fluid drawing sketches and then translate one of them into contour lines, then the information provided by the contour lines will be translated again in to a paper model which should be made up only by cut and fold.

After decades of flourishing, Xi’an textile city is experiencing its decadence.I started the design with consideration of region’s social problems-single industrial structure leads to single residents structure
The solution is graft- that is introducing new functions to the region to increase the diversity of residents.So that more kinds of activites and demands of people will enhence city’s vitality.
